Laser hair removal
The procedure makes use of the thermal effect of laser beam targeted onto a particular pigment colour (chromophore), which damages hair follicles in a selective manner – a phenomenon called fractional photothermolysis. Laser light destroys only the hair in its anagen phase, whereas the hair in other growth phases remains undamaged and can grow out. Therefore, to achieve satisfactory results it is necessary to repeat the laser hair removal procedure at 4 to 6-week intervals. The procedure is used to eliminate obsolete hair from such areas of the body as: the upper lip and mouth area, chin, bust/chest, back, stomach, groins (bikini line), thighs and shanks, shoulders, arms and forearms.
